Since childhood I have always been fascinated by nature and its beauties. I have been blessed to be able to travel to many parts of the world, Europe, China, Japan, Thailand, Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, Egypt, Israel, and much of the United States including Hawaii and Alaska.
My favorite Christmas gift I ever received as a child was a watercolor set. WhenI was 12 years old I had saved my babysitting money and bought my first oil painting set and had my first painting lesson.
My paintings are sometimes realistic, sometimes imaginary, and always exploratory. It is the values, contrasts, spontaneity and color that express them selves strongest in my works.
I received my Art Education BA and MA degrees from Arizona State University.
I taught High School art in the public schools for 22 years. I enjoyed helping many students obtain awards and recognition locally and nationally. I also taught English one year at Qingdao University in China and was able to sit in on some Chinese art classes.
I illustrated two books, and painted a cover design for a music album. I have been in the New York and Las Vegas Expo,s I am currently in the Copious Collection by Timothy's Fine ARt.

If I had to sum up all of my art I think I would title it the same title I gave to one of my paintings: GOD IS LOVE. My early works were mostly landscapes in oils Then I did lovable animals, the next period of my works were people and portraits, mostly done in pastels and colored pencils. Then came the flower period, trying to master watercolor. It seem to be about all of God’s creations, all the beauties of this earth.
